2014 was a great year for me personally, and for New England on the Fly. I made some good new fishing friends, had some great days on the water — and, as you know by now, have had a lot of fun producing video. Last night, at the Cheeky sponsored Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) in Boston, I shared a new video: a summary of the 2014 fishing year.
Thanks to Ted and Grant at Cheeky for looping my video for a while before the film festival started, and for all the positive feedback. Last night was a lot of fun — as was last season.
This video is, obviously, inspired by the kind of videos that Peter Laurelli has been putting out for a few years. I was fortunate to meet Peter at a bonefish dinner at The Angler’s Club of New York a few weeks ago, and to hear a bit about his new video. (Find the preview here.) It sounds like he’s been doing a lot more fishing from an inflatable standup paddle board, or SUP. I’m looking forward to his full cut.
With the mercury rising to 67 today, I feel confident saying that I can’t wait for the fish to arrive in a few short weeks. In the meantime, you can find me at my vise.
