With a lot of time on my hands, I’ve been going through footage from past trips. I came across this footage of a trip Jonas Clark and I took with guide Glenn Harrison during 2017. We spent the day canoeing down the Lake Branch of the Grand Cascapedia in search of salmon. We found some, and hooked one — an explosive take in fast, shallow water that lept immediately like a tarpon — but didn’t get any to net.
Still, I find each and every one of these trips down the river to be restorative. I tried to capture some of that here. Enjoy.
