A few years ago, my good friend Jonas and I went to Iceland to chase Atlantic salmon. At the urging of our host, we added a day and a half onto the front end to fly fish for trout and char. I was skeptical at first, but what a great decision that was in the end.
We got into a lot of big 20″+ brown trout, and as many char as we could possibly ever want to catch. We fished the Litlaa River and lake Skjalftavatn with our guide Siggy, a one-of-a-kind. Truly a great experience.
