The Marlborough Fly Fishing show — New England’s biggest, smallest fly fishing only show.
In comparison to Denver and Somerset, people observe it’s a small show. Sure, it’s small in comparison. But it’s always fun.
You see people you see once a year. You get to ask questions of people like Rich Murphy and Bob Popovics — rare opportunities. You get to indulge that curiosity and try rods without the hassle of paying a rental, or shipping, or anything else. You get to go to seminars, have a few beers, watch some videos, and no one will ask why all you can talk about is fly fishing.
This year, I had a great time catching up with Ryan at Finn Utility, who’s doing beautiful, super high quality work. If you don’t know his stuff, I recommend you check it out. I got to chat with James and Eddie at Beulah for a while — two super nice, knowledgeable guys. I chatted with Topher Brown for a while, always a pleasure, and with the guys at Thomas & Thomas. It’s great to see that company coming back with such strength.
I also got to talk with a bunch of you, and meet new people. Thanks for stopping by to say hello.
Here are some photos from the day. If you didn’t make it this year — see you next year!
